Pentagon Releases Third Tranche of UAP Files With AARO Director Reporting 40 Percent of Cases Remain Unexplained
The Department of War on Friday published its third UAP tranche under PURSUE, comprising 53 documents, 10 digital renderings, six videos, and three NASA audio recordings from the CIA, FBI, NASA, and Pentagon
The PURSUE third tranche converts UAP oversight from a disclosure exercise into a measurable analytic baseline: AARO now formally certifies a 40 percent unexplained residual against which future resolution rates will be tracked. The February 2022 Fort Carson incident, in which a former Army intelligence officer and four unit members described a cloaking object near Cheyenne Mountain, merits separate force-protection review outside the disclosure framing. The CIA's internal acknowledgment that classified aerospace programs accounted for more than half of all UAP reports in the 1950s and 1960s sets the hard interpretive ceiling: the current residual reflects what cleared assessors can acknowledge, not the full classified inventory. A substantial fraction will resolve to program attribution once access opens.
