DHS Recalls All 270,000 Furloughed Staff Including CISA Cyber Workers After Two-Month Partial Shutdown
DHS Secretary Mullin ordered all furloughed employees across the department's 270,000-person workforce to return to duty on their next regularly scheduled shift, funded by an April 3 emergency order from President Trump. The recall includes approximately 1,200 CISA employees who were furloughed since the DHS partial shutdown began February 14, which had reduced America's primary civilian cybersecurity agency to 38% capacity with only 888 of 2,341 staff.
