Ukraine Court Orders Arrest of Former Zelensky Chief of Staff Andriy Yermak in Money Laundering Probe

Ukraine anti-corruption court ordered the arrest of former presidential chief of staff Andriy Yermak on May 14, placing him in pre-trial detention for 60 days with bail set at 140 million hryvnias ($3.1 million) on money laundering charges. Investigators allege Yermak and associates laundered approximately 460 million hryvnias ($10.5 million) through a luxury residential development project. Yermak, who served as Zelensky right-hand man during most of the Russian invasion, said he cannot pay the bail amount and faces up to 12 years in prison if convicted.
