Firefly Blue Ghost Completes Record-Breaking Commercial Lunar Mission Before Lunar Night

Firefly Aerospace's Blue Ghost lunar lander completed its record-breaking commercial mission on the Moon's surface before shutting down ahead of the two-week lunar night. Blue Ghost operated for 14 Earth days, the longest-duration commercial lunar surface mission to date. The lander delivered 10 NASA payloads under the Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) program, collecting data on the lunar regolith, radiation environment, and surface conditions at Mare Crisium.
