Manifold Raises $8M to Secure Autonomous AI Agents at Runtime; Identifies Gap in Chatbot-Era Security Tools

Manifold closed an $8M seed round led by Costanoa Ventures to build an AI Detection and Response platform for securing autonomous agents on enterprise endpoints. The founders, who created LLM Guard, identified a gap: existing AI security tools designed for chatbots are blind to agentic activity that can cause real damage, including code execution, system access, and data exfiltration. The platform monitors agent behavior in real-time as coding agents like GitHub Copilot and Claude become ubiquitous in developer workflows.
