Navy Awards Northrop Grumman $334M for SEWIP Block 3 Electronic Warfare Including First Carrier Installation

The US Navy awarded Northrop Grumman a $334.4 million contract modification for up to nine SEWIP Block 3 electronic attack systems, including the first shipset for a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, extending advanced electronic warfare capabilities beyond destroyer platforms. The contract is worth up to $783 million if all options are exercised, bringing total systems on order to 24. SEWIP Block 3 provides wideband electronic attack capability to counter anti-ship missiles and targeting platforms. The USS Harry S. Truman (CVN-75) is slated for first carrier installation during its mid-2026 refueling overhaul.
