DCSA Backlog Drops 65% to 100,000 Cases; TS Processing at 120-240 Days

DCSA has reduced its investigation backlog by 65% to approximately 100,000 cases. Current timelines: Secret/Tier 3 averages 60-150 days, Top Secret/Tier 5 runs 120-240 days, and TS/SCI with polygraph stretches to 180-365 days. The eApp system replacing eQIP is reducing incomplete submissions, but polygrapher shortages remain a bottleneck for SCI access.
