NATO Allies and Gulf Partners Meet on Counter-UAS, Maritime Security Cooperation

NATO's North Atlantic Council met with Gulf partners from Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, and the UAE on March 18, condemning Iran's indiscriminate attacks and recognizing Gulf states' right to self-defense under the UN Charter. Discussion centered on expanding practical cooperation in counter-UAS systems, maritime security, critical infrastructure protection, and counter-terrorism, areas where the Iran conflict has exposed capability gaps.
