House Intelligence Committee Releases Hidden ICIG Atkinson Transcripts, Gabbard to Declassify Schiff Document

The House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence voted to release two transcripts from 2019 closed hearings with former Intelligence Community Inspector General Michael Atkinson, who handled the whistleblower complaint that led to Trump's first impeachment. Chairman Crawford stated the release reflects warranted public mistrust of the IC. Separately, DNI Gabbard is preparing to declassify a top-secret document that former Chairman Adam Schiff reportedly locked in a Capitol SCIF. One transcript goes to ODNI for classification review before public release.
