IRGC Claims Strikes on Oracle Data Center in Dubai; UAE Denies

The IRGC on April 2 claimed it struck Oracle's Dubai data center and a computing facility in the UAE, citing retaliation for the assassination of former Iranian FM Kamal Kharrazi and his wife. The Dubai Media Office called the reports fabricated. However, a Bellingcat investigation alleged the UAE has downplayed damage and mischaracterized interceptions of previous Iranian strikes. The attack came two days after Iran threatened US tech companies it deemed to be assisting military operations, with Oracle explicitly named.

Analysis
This is a direct follow-through on the IRGC's March 31 threat to target US tech companies assisting military operations. The core question, whether the strike actually landed, remains unresolved. Dubai officially denies it; the IRGC claims success; and Bellingcat has documented a pattern of UAE damage suppression in prior incidents. Until independent verification is available, the actual extent of Gulf-region tech infrastructure damage is unknown.
