Missouri Police Face Backlash Over Expanding 287(g) ICE Agreements

More than 60 individual 287(g) agreements have been signed in Missouri as local communities face heightened enforcement activity. Nationally, ICE has signed 1,527 MOAs covering 39 states and 2 territories. The expansion is generating political backlash and expensive lawsuits, particularly in the St. Louis region where the tension between federal enforcement mandates and local political dynamics is most acute.
