NASA Astronauts to Conduct ISS Spacewalks March 18 to Prepare for New Solar Arrays

NASA astronauts will conduct a pair of spacewalks beginning March 18 outside the International Space Station to prepare mounting points for two new roll-out solar arrays. The arrays will supplement the station's aging power system as NASA extends ISS operations while planning the transition to commercial space stations. Two sounding rockets are also scheduled for launch from Wallops Flight Facility between March 17-23.
