IAEA Chief: War Cannot Entirely Eliminate Iran's Nuclear Program

IAEA Director General Grossi stated military strikes cannot eliminate Iran's nuclear program despite rendering Natanz inaccessible since March 3. Iran holds 440.9 kg of 60%-enriched uranium, enough for up to ten weapons if further enriched, stored in an Isfahan tunnel complex that survived both the June 2025 and February 2026 strikes. FM Araghchi signaled conditional willingness to dilute enriched material, the first diplomatic opening on the nuclear file since the war began.
