IC agencies across the board are implementing workforce reductions that extend beyond CIA and NSA. Maryland-based agencies have frozen hiring entirely with no new postings since March. Conditional and final job offers across the IC have been stalled, with applicants reporting canceled polygraph appointments and indefinite onboarding holds. The DCSA investigation backlog dropped 65% to ~100,000 cases, but the improvement is moot when the pipeline is frozen at the hiring stage.
