Anthropic Expands Claude Autonomy With Computer Control, Auto Mode, and Code Channels

Anthropic released a suite of autonomy features for Claude: computer control (opening apps, navigating browsers, filling spreadsheets), an 'auto mode' research preview that lets the AI decide which actions are safe to take independently, and Claude Code Channels that connect to Discord and Telegram for direct code instructions. Computer use pairs with a new 'Dispatch' feature allowing task assignment from iPhone with results delivered to desktop. Auto mode uses AI-driven safeguards to review each action before execution, checking for risky behavior or prompt injection. Available initially to Pro and Max subscribers on macOS.
