Cloudflare Lays Off 1,100 Employees in Major Restructuring

Cloudflare announced May 7 it will cut more than 1,100 employees, roughly 20 percent of its global workforce, in what CEO Matthew Prince and COO Michelle Zatlyn described in a company-wide email as a realignment for the "agentic AI era." Prince and Zatlyn cited internal AI usage growth of more than 600 percent over the prior three months.
