Colombian Military C-130 Crashes After Takeoff With 110+ Aboard; At Least 1 Dead, 77 Injured

A Colombian Air Force C-130H Hercules, donated by the US Air Force in 2020, crashed during takeoff from Puerto Leguizamo near the Peru border while transporting troops. At least one person was killed, 77 hospitalized, and the status of 43 remained undetermined out of at least 110 occupants. President Petro confirmed the casualty figures. The aircraft went down 3 km from an urban center; no indication of attack by criminal groups. The older C-130H model first entered service in 1965.
