Artemis II Crew Releases First Photos of Earth from Lunar Transit at 100,000 Miles

NASA released the first images from the Artemis II Orion spacecraft as the four-person crew traveled toward the Moon. Mission commander Reid Wiseman captured Earth from 100,000 miles, showing cloud formations, auroras, and city lights. The crew had approximately 160,000 miles remaining to the Moon. The images represent the first human photographs of Earth from deep space since Apollo 17 in 1972.
