UK Confirms Iran Fired Missiles at Diego Garcia; Defence Secretary Details Attack on British Base

UK Defence Secretary confirmed Iran fired two intermediate-range ballistic missiles at the Diego Garcia joint US-UK military base in the Indian Ocean. One missile failed in flight; the other was intercepted by a US warship. The attack demonstrated Iran possesses 4,000km+ range missiles, far exceeding the 2,000km range previously assessed by Western intelligence, putting European capitals within reach. Iran's Foreign Ministry denied responsibility, calling it a 'false flag.' The strike followed the UK's agreement to allow US forces to use British bases for operations against Iran.
