Palantir CEO Visits Kyiv as Ukraine Integrates AI Into Deep Strike Planning Against Russia

On May 12, Palantir Technologies CEO Alex Karp met with Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov and President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv. Fedorov stated that Ukraine has integrated Palantir's technology into planning deep strike operations inside Russia, as well as into an AI system for air attack analysis and intelligence data processing. The two sides also reviewed the jointly built "Brave1 Dataroom" platform, which Fedorov said gives more than 100 companies access to battlefield data for training over 80 AI models for aerial threat detection and interception. Zelensky, posting on X, said teams on both sides would remain in contact.

It elevates Palantir from an intelligence-support contractor to an acknowledged partner in Ukrainian strategic targeting. Fedorov's January appointment as defense minister, with an explicit mandate for data-driven military reform, has accelerated an integration that traces back to Karp's first Kyiv visit in June 2022. The Brave1 Dataroom, already hosting over 100 companies training 80-plus AI models, is institutional infrastructure built to outlast any single political cycle. Ukraine is likely to further operationalize AI-assisted deep strike targeting against Russian economic and military infrastructure over the next 12 months. The principal constraint is not Ukrainian intent but whether Washington applies informal or contractual pressure on Palantir to restrict offensive-application work against Russian territory.
