Minotaur IV to Launch DoD Space Test Program Satellite from Vandenberg Tuesday

A Northrop Grumman Minotaur IV rocket is scheduled to launch the STP-S29A mission from Vandenberg Space Force Base on April 7, carrying STPSat-7 and multiple university payloads to orbit. The primary satellite hosts five DoD research and technology demonstration payloads, including NanoUHFComms for evaluating military satellite communications in proliferated low-Earth orbit architectures. The Minotaur IV uses surplus Peacekeeper ICBM solid rocket motors as its first three stages. The launch window runs from 4:30 AM to 8:45 AM Pacific time.
