Israeli Strikes Kill Over 300 in Lebanon on First Day of US-Iran Ceasefire

Israel conducted its deadliest day of strikes on Lebanon since the war began, killing at least 303 people and wounding 1,150 on the same day the US-Iran ceasefire took effect. Over 100 strikes hit Beirut, southern Lebanon, and the Bekaa Valley within minutes, targeting what Israel called Hezbollah infrastructure. Lebanon's Health Ministry reported 254 deaths from the initial barrage, with 91 in Beirut alone. Israel insists the ceasefire does not cover Lebanon; Iran and Pakistan say it does.

Analysis
300+ killed on the day the ceasefire took effect is not a coincidence. Israel used the ceasefire announcement as operational cover for a massive escalation against Hezbollah, knowing the US would be reluctant to jeopardize the diplomatic track by publicly rebuking its ally. The strike pattern, 100+ simultaneous targets, suggests pre-planned targeting packages held for this specific window.
