Iran Internet Blackout Day 18 at ~1% Connectivity; Hackers Target US Critical Infrastructure Despite Shutdown

Iran's internet remained at approximately 1% of normal connectivity on Day 18, costing the economy an estimated $35.7 million daily. Despite the domestic blackout, 60+ Iran-aligned hacktivist groups intensified offensive operations, with cybercrime activity surging 245% since February 28. Hackers claimed responsibility for an attack on US medical device company Stryker and attempted to penetrate Middle Eastern surveillance cameras to improve Iran's missile targeting. Targets included data centers, Israeli industrial facilities, a Saudi school, and a Kuwaiti airport.

Analysis
Connectivity has held at ~1% since it dropped from ~4% around March 10. The $35.7M daily economic cost figure is new. Despite the domestic blackout, Iran's offensive cyber capability continues to operate from external infrastructure, a pattern tracked since the March 16 Unit 42 report.
