China Foreign Minister Wang Yi Warns Japan of Grave Situation Over Leaders Taiwan Stance

Wang Yi told Takeshi Iwaya, president of the Japan Association for the Promotion of International Trade, in Beijing on Monday that Japan's most urgent task is to correct its leaders' "erroneous words and actions" on Taiwan, according to a Chinese Foreign Ministry readout 12. Wang said relations face a "grave situation" and must be "normalised again," and he warned Japan against challenging its pacifist constitution or glorifying war criminals 13.
