ICE Agents Deploy to US Airports Monday as DHS Shutdown Enters Sixth Week; TSA Workers Unpaid

Trump ordered 'hundreds' of ICE agents to US airports starting Monday to assist TSA officers who have worked without pay for over five weeks during the partial DHS shutdown. Border Czar Homan confirmed agents will continue enforcing immigration laws at terminals. ICE agents have not undergone TSA checkpoint certification training. House Minority Leader Jeffries warned against 'untrained ICE agents' at airports. The DHS shutdown began after two US citizens were killed by federal immigration agents in Minnesota, triggering Democratic demands for judicial warrant requirements and a ban on masked ICE agents.
