Claude 4.6 1M Context Window Reaches GA; MCP Roadmap Targets Enterprise Scale

Anthropic made the 1M token context window generally available for Claude Opus 4.6 and Sonnet 4.6 at standard pricing, removing the beta header requirement. The MCP 2026 roadmap published March 9 targets four areas: Streamable HTTP transport scaling, Tasks primitive lifecycle, enterprise audit/SSO features, and standard metadata format. MCP crossed 97M monthly SDK downloads in February.
