Iranian Ballistic Missile Intercepted Over Lebanon; US Embassy Feared as Target

A foreign naval vessel intercepted an Iranian ballistic missile over Lebanese airspace in the Keserwan district north of Beirut, marking the first time Iranian projectiles have been intercepted over Lebanon. Debris caused minor injuries in Sahel Alma and Haret Sakher. Regional media carried unconfirmed reports that the US Embassy, Hamat Air Base, or British bases in Cyprus may have been the intended target. Separately, Cyprus reported the UK deployed Stormer air defense systems to its sovereign base areas on the island.
