HRW Reports 363 Pregnant and Postpartum Immigrants Deported; 16 Miscarriages Documented

DHS disclosed that 363 pregnant, postpartum, and nursing immigrants were deported between January 2025 and February 2026, with 16 miscarriages recorded during that period. As of February 16, 86 pregnant detainees remained in ICE custody. The data, released in response to questions from Sen. Patty Murray, represents the first comprehensive accounting of pregnancy outcomes in the deportation pipeline.
