SpaceX Crosses 10,000 Simultaneous Starlink Satellites; Two Falcon 9 Launches on March 17
SpaceX crossed 10,000 simultaneous Starlink satellites in low Earth orbit, a milestone reached less than seven years after the first batch launched in May 2019. Two Falcon 9 missions on March 17 deployed 54 satellites from both coasts. SpaceX is averaging a launch every 2.3 days in 2026, with 26 of 33 Falcon 9 flights this year carrying Starlink payloads. The V3 satellite generation, designed for Starship's 100-metric-ton capacity, will deliver terabit-class throughput per satellite.
