Trump to Meet Netanyahu at White House Tuesday Amid Iran Escalation

BLUFNetanyahu's seventh White House visit signals pre-escalation coordination, but a renewed major US combat operation against Iran on the scale of Epic Fury remains unlikely by mid-August.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will travel to Washington on Monday and meet President Trump at the White House on Tuesday, his office said, adding that he will also attend the funeral service for Senator Lindsey Graham 1234. It will be Netanyahu's seventh White House visit since Trump returned to office, more than any other world leader 24. The visit comes as US Central Command reported completing its 13th consecutive night of strikes on Iran, with Iran conducting daily retaliatory strikes against US assets in the region, including one that killed three US soldiers at a base in Jordan last week 2. Axios reported that Trump is weighing a resumption of major combat operations against Iran, potentially in a joint campaign with Israel similar to the February 28 Operation Epic Fury launch 1.

Analysis
Confirmation of Netanyahu's Tuesday visit, following last week's stalled attempt, signals Washington and Jerusalem are synchronizing before any next military phase rather than acting in the midst of one. A US-led resumption of major combat operations against Iran comparable to Operation Epic Fury is unlikely by August 15, 2026, though the visit gives Trump a fixed decision point to authorize coordinated action once bilateral friction over Gaza and Lebanon eases. Moderate confidence reflects the visit's confirmation through official channels but the absence of any independent indicator of a shift in force posture beyond the declared nightly strike tempo.
